He graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1998 at Padua University, discussing the dissertation about the induction heating of ferromagnetic billets. After the graduation he remained for more than a year at the Electrical Engineering Department of Padua University, working on an innovative research project about transverse flux induction heating of metal strips.
He is Italian Patent and Trademark Attorney, European Trademark and Design Attorney and he has been European Patent Attorney since 2004. He has worked for ten years in the Verona Office of an IP consulting company, where he acquired a broad knowledge of various aspects concerning the portfolio managing of IP cases for many companies.
Simone Ponchiroli has consequently an extensive experience in patent prosecution up to European oppositions and appeals, as well as in patentability, infringement and validity opinions and licensing.
He has been involved in many patent prosecutions in many fields of technology. This includes medical devices, machines for food industry, ovens and heating apparatuses, machines for working gold and other precious metal industry, machines for cutting stone, earth moving machines, pumps and hydraulic apparatuses, expanding resin technologies, coffee machines and capsules, industrial working vehicles, machines and apparatuses for timber examination and graduation, filling, labeling and packaging machines, machines and devices for the railway field.
He has also a wide experience in all aspects of patent litigation, from the initiation of lawsuits through trial, including work on royalty cases.
Simone Ponchiroli has also experience in trademark registrability, infringement and validity opinions and licensing, as well as in all aspects of litigation in trademark cases, both in Italy and abroad.
